This IS a Christian ministry site so we would be remiss if we didn’t “explain” the Salvation message and provide the opportunity for the casual, non-Christian visitor to this site to accept Jesus who is the only way to Salvation!
First, a little history: over 3,500 years ago, God chose a group to be His people here on earth. So that they would be able to live a “Godly” life, He selected Moses from amongst those people, to be their spiritual leader. He equipped Moses with a few “laws”, known as the “Ten Commandments”. Moses later expanded upon those laws with five books, known as the “Torah” or “Pentateuch”.
Moses is considered a prophet of God in all major “western” religions; Judaism, Islam, Christianity, Mormonism, etc.
Over time it was obvious that NO man could keep ALL those Commandments ALL the time. Under God’s “plan of salvation”, He sent His only son, whose names (was/is) Jesus. He came to show us how to live the perfect life, obeying all the Commandments AND the “additional laws” of Moses!
Furthermore, He offered us the most important “option” ever given to man: He said that He would “stand-in” for OUR sins, our failure to keep those heavy “laws”, by offering Himself, the most pure, sin-free person who ever lived, to be executed as a “sacrifice” for all of us!
As the story goes, He in fact, after unreal suffering and a humiliating death on a cross, went to Hell for us. But, in three days, He came back from Hell, back from death!
He had accomplished what He was sent to earth to do. It was now time to go back to the Father. Before He left, He made His “offer”: if you accept Jesus as YOUR sacrifice and your personal Savior, and confess or tell others that He is your Lord, you can go to Heaven to be with Him and the Father, forever!
One more point: after giving yourself to Jesus, He will send His Spirit into your life, to help YOU, to guide and comfort you, that you may live a proper life.
Such a deal! And, you have only to voice your acceptance of Jesus into your life. The rest of the “bill” has already been paid – in FULL!
Many people over the ages have tried to make the salvation process more complicated than this. But, it is SO simple! Jesus did the “complicated” part for you. In fact, right now while reading this you can ask Jesus to come into your life, your heart – He’ll take over from there. At that point, you in fact are assured that when you die you will go to Heaven, to be with Jesus and all your loved ones who have died as believers in Jesus. Is that an incentive package, or what?!
